Money. Exchange rates and general info

Philippines currency is called Pesos. The exchange rate according to http://themoneyconverter.com/SAR/PHP.aspx is 1 Saudi Riyal = 11.54679 Philippine Pesos.

Alot of people advice to walk around with US dollars. DON'T, That would be an indicator
that you are rich or something. Please deal with Pesos only. Of course keep dollars to exchange
for pesos, not riyals!!.
I also advice you to get small bills at the exchange places. tens fifties and hundreds.

Philippine banknotes are currently issued in the following denominations:
  • 5 piso (No longer being printed, but still legal tender)
  • 10 piso (No longer being printed, but still legal tender)
  • 20 piso
  • 50 piso
  • 100 piso
  • 200 piso
  • 500 piso
  • 1000 piso

We advice to lessen the usage of the thousand bill.

Last thing. DO NOT show your money. Carrying a full wallet then show the wallet full of money to pay for something can get you robbed. Please take caution and distribute your  money on your person. Keep hidden emergency money on you in case anything happened so at least you could go back to your hotel or something.
